CLASS OUTLINE - ALL STAR This class outline may be used by teachers who wish to teach a project using The Creative Pattern Book by Judy Martin. Individuals seeking guidance for self instruction are also welcome to use this outline. I recommend beginning each class with a preview to ensure that students will come to the first work session properly prepared. Feel free to tailor this outline to your own teaching style. I divide each project into sessions. Sessions can be planned for consecutive weeks or all sessions can be presented in a single all-day workshop. The outline indicates where you can find additional lessons and details in the book or on this web site. Class Description: All Star combines a star and a pinwheel in an original block. Blocks are staggered in a stunning arrangement and bordered with smaller pinwheel blocks. The wall quilt first appeared in The Block Book by Judy Martin; the large quilt appears in Judy's The Creative Pattern Book. The pattern is presented in wall and full/queen sizes. Level: Intermediate. This pattern has no set-ins, curves, or partial seams, and it goes together easily. One shape, the trapezoid, may expand some students' rotary cutting repertoires.
