CLASS OUTLINE - SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK This class outline may be used by teachers who wish to teach a project using The Creative Pattern Book by Judy Martin. Individuals seeking guidance for self instruction are also welcome to use this outline. I recommend beginning each class with a preview to ensure that students will come to the first work session properly prepared. Feel free to tailor this outline to your own teaching style. I divide each project into sessions. Sessions can be planned for consecutive weeks or all sessions can be presented in a single all-day workshop. The outline indicates where you can find additional lessons and details in the book or on this web site. Class Description: Shakespeare in the Park is a fresh new pattern from Judy Martin’s Creative Pattern Book. It combines Virginia Reel (also known as Snail’s Trail), Rising Star and Evening Star blocks. It is a relatively simple pattern made entirely of squares and triangles. Shakespeare in the Park is adaptable to any style and color scheme. It can be made from just two fabrics or from a wide variety of scraps or fat quarters. Choose from wall or twin size quilts. It can also be easily modified for queen size. Level: Beginners and beyond. This pattern is fun for all.
