The Quilts from Piece 'n' Play Quilts
Below are thumbnail photos of all 12 quilts in my book, Piece 'n' Play Quilts. All the quilts are presented with complete rotary instructions, detailed cutting layouts, full-size pattern pieces and pictures of at least 4 setting variations.
From left to right the 3 quilts are America, the Beautiful; Family Farm; and Japanese Fan. All three of these may be familiar to you. America, the Beautiful was designed by my son as a BOM for this web site after the September 11th tragedy. The quilt now adorns his bed. The other two were posted in various arrangements last year so you could vote on which arrangement you liked best. I liked the Japanese Fan so much I put it on the cover!
From left to right, Lincoln Log Cabin; The Long and Winding Road; and Midnight Special. The Lincoln Log Cabin and the Midnight Special are probably the two easiest quilts in the book. You don't normally think of a Rail Fence being a good candidate for playing, but it is. And the Long and Winding Road has no curved seams! I repeat, it has no curved seams!
From left to right, Riverbed; Roundabout; and Spring Valley Log Cabin. It's hard to tell from the small photo, but Riverbed is another Log Cabin variation. Roundabout is a very simple Drunkard's Path made with three easy shapes and no curved seams.
From left to right, Star Shadow; Steve's Star, and Thunderstruck. Steve's Star was designed by my husband, who, coincidentally, is named Steve. It's a little hard to see in the small photo, but Star Shadow plays like a Log Cabin. Every star creates a shadow of itself. It's really a neat pattern!
