What is a muffin-top pan? It's a pan with 6 wells in it that are 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch deep and about 3-1/2 inches across, pictured below with Shenandoah Log Cabin from Cookies 'n' Quilts.

Muffin-tops pans, so important to the success of some of my cookies, aren't available everywhere. Below are some sources for them. I have never dealt with any of these companies. I do not endorse them, nor do I have any reason to believe they would not be perfectly satisfactory to deal with.

I own and have used both gray and black muffin-top pans. When I wrote the book recommending the gray ones, I didn't realize that they would be so hard to come by. I got my gray pan years ago. I found the black pan scorched the cookies a little. However....

New tip! I continued to do some tinkering and discovered that the black pans work great if you line them with a flattened paper baking cup (an ordinary cupcake liner that you smash flat).

These are the internet sources I have found. I'm guessing these are all black pans. If you learn of any others, please let me know.

This is a store I've dealt with and can recommend. They carry muffin-top pans, but they don't currently have them listed among their online offerings. So call the toll-free number above or e-mail them at aquastad@willinet.net and they'll be happy to help you. Ask for Alyce or Alice and tell them Judy Martin sent you!

This isn't an internet source, but a happy customer found muffin-top pans here. The store said they'd be happy to take mail or phone orders.

Interested in the bunny cookie jar in the book? This is from the Botannical Bunnies line from Fitz and Floyd. Fitz and Floyd has several appealing bunny cookie jars. My favorite source for Fitz and Floyd is:
